EasyPark now lets users with Android™ phones find and manage their parking and electric car charging directly via Android Auto on their car's infotainment system.

– To offer our users a world leading service, it is important that we constantly develop and innovate our offering. By supporting Android Auto, EasyPark now provides an easier parking experience, says Johan Birgersson, CEO at EasyPark Group.

Adding support for Android Auto enables drivers of nearly every major car manufacturer to use the EasyPark app and services in the car’s display. Today, over 80 percent of newly produced cars support mirroring of the phone to the car's infotainment system via Android Auto, Apple CarPlay or both, making EasyPark directly applicable to a large part of the world's car fleet.

EasyPark’s already existing support for Apple CarPlay together with the new support for Android Auto is in line with EasyPark's investment in electric car charging, in which the company has the leading platform in Europe to find, manage and pay for charging.

– Another dimension of EasyPark's development work is the sustainability aspect, which has made electric car charging a relevant extension of our offering. We are pleased to be able to offer electric car owners the opportunity to make full use of the car's technical capabilities through Android Auto. Even when finding and managing both parking and charging their car, concludes Johan Birgersson.

Android Auto support is available in the latest update of the app, covering thousands of cities in which EasyPark operates. In addition to support for Android Auto, EasyPark already supports Apple CarPlay and select cars with Android Automotive’s built-in operating system. To access the EasyPark app in the head unit, an Android phone with Android 9 or higher is required, as well as a car that supports Android Auto. Android and Android Auto are trademarks of Google LLC.
